Bluescope + PIDCOCK team win!

The Insurance Council Australia, in conjunction with the Australian Institute of Architects, called "upon the community to develop and submit resilient housing design concepts that incorporate inherent protection, through design and material selection, for the building envelope and its contents, from flood, hail, extreme rainfall, fire and windstorm."

Bluescope Steel asked Pidcock to work with them to prepare an entry highlighting an innovative new composite steel and concrete walling system they have been developing. We came up with a great design for the Cairns climate that could showcase the inherent resilient and durable qualities of their materials.

We are delighted to let you know that our submission won! The announcement was made at the Insurance Council Australia's annual dinner held at the Western on evening of Thursday 5 May 2011.
