Landcom, together with Clarendon Homes, have built the
innovative Eco Living Display Homes at Pebble Crescent,
The Ponds. It's a tangible way of showing the latest sustainability
designs, materials, features and building products in a way that
allows people to come in, walk around and actually see the way
sustainability and style work together.
Sustainability doesn't have to be about going
without. Sustainability is about high performance and precision,
and it can be stylish, comfortable and cost effective.
Each of the three sustainable homes at The Ponds in Sydney's
northwest pushes innovative sustainability concepts and designs in
a different way. The Benchmark Home demonstrates current best
practice in project home design and construction; the Greencycle
Home will maximise environmentally friendly products and materials
during construction; and the Net Zero Emissions Home will generate
its own independent energy and water.
Caroline consulted to Landcom in the
development of the brief and sustainability targets, as wells as in
the selection of the builders and the initial development of the
designs. She also wrote and illustrated the factsheet that
aims to help purchasers to understand the real issues behind future
proofing your home.
